Millonzi Distinguished Honors Scholarship

honors college
One four-year scholarship covering all resident tuition and fees, minus any other aid received, is available to an undergraduate Honors student in the creative or performing arts. To be considered, students must have an unweighted high school average of at least 90 and a combined SAT critical reading and math score of at least 1230 or an ACT score of at least 27. A personal interview and a separate scholarship application are required. Contact the Honors College to request an application.

Departmental Honors
These honors are given for outstanding achievement in film, video, digital arts and media scholarship, as well as outstanding service to the university and community. Certificates are presented at Annual student show.

Gregory Capasso Memorial Award
Presented for outstanding creative work in film, video, digital arts and media scholarship.
In Memory of Gregory Capasso
Gregory loved films, writing and most of all life and making people laugh. After spending a semester studying in England, he was returning home on December 21, 1988 with 258 other passengers on PanAm Flight 103 when a terrorist bomb caused it to explode over Lockerbie, Scotland killing everyone on board. Gregory was taken from his family, friends, loved ones and this university community. He will live on in the hearts, minds and souls of all who loved him.
The student recipients of the Gregory Capasso Media Study Scholarship and the Creative Writing Award is made possible by the Gregory Capasso Endowment fund established by his family and friends.

Pierre McAloon Memorial Award
Presented for excellence in creative work in film.

The Pierre McAloon Memorial Award, In Memory of Pierre McAloon 1974-1995
This memorial fund was established by the family and friends of Pierre McAloon. Pierre died shortly after the completion of his documentary film “Corridor.” This memorial award recognizes Media Study film students who demonstrate talent and vision through their Art.

Levy-King-White Scholarships
Presented for academic achievement and demonstrated financial need.
This award was established by the Levy King and White Companies, Inc. and is awarded to students in recognition of their outstanding academic and excellent work in Media Study.
