Steven Eastwood is an independent filmmaker whose practice spans fiction, documentary,
and artists’ film/video. He has taught at the University of Plymouth,
the University of Greenwich. His films include Those Who Are Jesus which won
the best Newcomer in the 2001 Grierson Documentary Awards and I Make Things
Happen, winner of the Beats/Bytes Festival Weekender Competition. Professor
Eastwood is also founder of OMSK (cross-disciplined and site-specific art/film
event) which has provided a vital platform for performance, sound and video/film
artists since 1995 and has toured events to Toyko, Oslo, and Thessaloniki among
other locations. He also founded London’s Volcano! Underground Film Festival.
