"My experience in Bremen."
[Testimonial from Colin Weeks, DMS Class of 2010, who recently studied in Bremen, Germany for an academic year]
The Universität Bremen is four separate campuses and offers a myriad of digital media courses from which the student may choose. While studying at Bremen, students enroll in Masters level courses, which are taught in English, with other students completing their Master's degrees. This is not only academically stimulating and challenging, but also provides a heightened level of education, giving participants the unique opportunity to meet and interact with people at an advanced stage of their own education path.
The program achieves a near perfect balance of diversity, with about 40-50% of students being German, and the rest from across the globe. Nearly every conceivable cultural, geographical, religious, and ethnic background is represented.
Studying abroad is extremely personally satisfying. I found German culture to be completely accessible and friendly, especially German students. The Bremen Program also offers the option to live with other German students, which I highly recommend, for an enhanced cultural immersion.
Lastly, living and studying in Germany is a fantastic way to learn German and to travel throughout the country and Europe.
